Was this defective copy of "City in Darkness" a part of a the 20th Century-Fox "Charlie Chan Collection" Volume 4? If so, was it purchased through a reputable seller, such as a retail store, etc.? I would think, if that is the case, that they would send you a new one in exchange for the defective version. Are they crediting you $9 to cover the "City in Darkness" disc, alone? Again, this is okay, if you finally do get one that plays correctly.
I have seen separate titles from all of the Fox DVD sets selling individually at eBay.
The title was from Vol. IV of the boxed set. My purchase was "used" from an Amazon seller. Unfortunately, all they can do is offer a credit as they are not a warehouse. I'm fine with that. I have checked eBay, but will give myself a little more time to price shop. Thanks for your reply.
