Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "The Chinese Cat"
Please join for our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing as we watch and discuss “The Chinese Cat,” starring Sidney Toler. This was the second entry of the Charlie Chan series at Monogram pictures, and we can see that they were, perhaps, beginning to hit their stride. In this picture, Charlie Chan, having a couple of days off from his government work, agrees to help the Manning family uncover the identity of the killer of Thomas Manning. The case quickly takes very deadly and confusing twists and turns!
We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time with arrivals and greetings and a trip to Virginia’s virtual beverage cart. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very worthy film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.
