Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "The Chinese Ring" (8PM, ET)
Please join us for our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing as our tour through the entire Charlie Chan series proper reaches the Roland Winters phase. Our film for this latest installment of our Monday evenings together will be “The Chinese Ring,” the first appearance of Mr. Winters as Charlie Chan. This movie, a worthy entry in the series, focuses on a Chinese princess who is murdered in Mr. Chan’s San Francisco residence. Charlie Chan, his Number Two Son, now called “Tommy,” and Birmingham Brown work together to solve this crime which leads to on a trail of death and international implications.
We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time with arrivals and greetings and a trip to Virginia’s virtual beverage cart. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very worthy film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.
