I came across a "rare" Sherlock Holmes film that had been "lost" for quite some time. Heck, I don't remember ever hearing about it: The Sleeping Cardinal (1931) with Arthur Wontner as Sherlock Holmes.

If THIS movie can be found then we can still have hope for the Chans made around the same period.
The Wonter Sherlock Holmes films are some of the best, in my opinion.... even more so than the Rathbones, he visually fits the part. Of the 5 nice to see this one emerge... still one more (his second) still "lost"...
So, hooray for those folks who hunt 'em up... there's hope for the lost Chans yet!
