Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "Charlie Chan in Honolulu."
Please consider joining with us for this week’s Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing as we watch and discuss “Charlie Chan in Honolulu,” starring, for the first time, Sidney Toler as Charlie Chan with Victor Sen Yung as Number Two Son, Jimmy. We have yet another son, Tommy, played by Layne Tom, Jr. In this adventure, we first see the entire Chan family - minus two - at dinner. Mr. Chan is then called away to solve a murder aboard an arriving passenger-freighter, though he is at first, sidetracked, as we shall see. This is only the beginning of a case that is filled with interesting twists and an eventual eventful turn!
We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time with arrivals and greetings and a trip to Virginia’s virtual beverage cart. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very worthy film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.
