Yet Another Honorable Mention of Mr. Huang's Book

The noted book critic Maureen Corrigan, from Public Radio's "Fresh Air" has posted her 10 Favorite Books of 2010 and Yunte Huang's "Charlie Chan: The Untold Story of the Honorable Detective and His Rendezvous with American History" is among her best. It's wonderful to see our favorite detective getting so much good press these past couple years.

This book is on my Amazon Wish List, and I sure hope to find under my tree Christmas morning. I also wish my CCFH friends the very best the holidays have to offer.

Re: Yet Another Honorable Mention of Mr. Huang's Book

Dear Roy,

Very good news. Yes, it is so nice to see good press regarding Charlie Chan after so much bad, very biased, press aimed at killing off the venerable Mr. Chan. Fittingly, as we see in a number of his adventures, Charlie Chan may be the object of ridicule for a while, but, in the end, he overcomes his detractors.

Thank you for the information, and, may Santa bring your hoped-for present this year!

Sincerely,
Rush

Re: Yet Another Honorable Mention of Mr. Huang's Book

I thought the book was more of a tirade about America's injustice to the Chinese and other minorities. I learned more about Charlie from Virginia's website and our monday chats. Sorry to
be a grouch.
