As it would appear the missing Charlie Chan films have not yet been found, I would advise everyone to shake off their laziness and make some effort to find them, that is if they can be found. If these lost films can be found, they are national treasures and should be honoured and treasured as such, for with the exception of THE MASTER KEY, which became a Broadway play, all of the filmed Charlie Chan novels are lost except THE BLACK CAMEL.
Maybe we'll get lucky, and someone in Amsterdam or Buenos Aires will discover them. I'd even take them with Dutch or Spanish subtitles. Heck, maybe someone has them cached away in the Australian outback--Crikey!!!
Given the fact that a copy of the entire 1960 World Series seventh game from television (thought long lost) was found in Bing Crosby's basement recently, anything is possible!
