Tonight's Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "Charlie Chan in London"
Please join us as we leap to the fifth film in the Charlie Chan series as we continue our trip together. After last week’s movie, “The Black Camel,” there is a gap of three “lost” Chan pictures: “Charlie Chan’s Chance,” “Charlie Chan’s Greatest Case,” and “Charlie Chan’s Courage.” So, crossing that bridge, our movie for tonight’s Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing will be “Charlie Chan in London,” starring Warner Oland. By this adventure, we now see the Chan that most moviegoers identified with the character. Sadly, we are unable to see Oland’s development of Charlie Chan to this point.
In “Charlie Chan in London,” Chan races to beat the clock to save an innocent man from the executioner’s noose! As time ticks ominously nearer, can the detective pull this one off?
