Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "Charlie Chan in Egypt"
Please join us as we travel to the Land of the Pharaohs with Charlie Chan as we watch “Charlie Chan in Egypt.” Number One Son, Lee, stays behind, presumably returning to his job, and in his place we have the venerable Stepin Fetchit as Snowshoes. Yes, controversial in our enlightened age, but, nonetheless, Chan’s comedic sidekick and assisting hands in Luxor. We can note at the end of this picture that it was possibly set up for Snowshoes to continue on in the next adventure if not sometime in the future. In “Egypt,” Charlie Chan works to solve a case of murder and the theft of antiquities amid a backdrop of ancient curses!
