Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "The New Adventures of Charlie Chan"

Our films our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing will be in the form of to 26-minute episodes from “The New Adventures of Charlie Chan,” as we celebrate the birthday of James Hong, who played Number One Son, Barry in that 1957-58 TV series, starring J. Carrol Naish as his Pop, Charlie Chan! The episodes that we will be viewing will be “The Nobel Art of Murder” (#20) and “The Hand of Hera Dass” (#28).

Our Chat Room is located HERE at our Charlie Chan Family Home. Please use any of the “Chat Room” links to join us. We begin with arrivals and greetings at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and we roll our personal copies of “The Nobel Art of Murder” thirty minutes later. After a five-minute break following this episode, we will the run “The Hand of Hera Dass.”

Even if you do not happen to have copies of the above-noted episodes of “The New Adventures of Charlie Chan,” please do join us, as you will NOT be left out of our ongoing chat and festivities. (Many of our films may be found available for viewing online!) Also, as is our custom, newcomers are offered the seat of honor at our humble table.

"Thank you so much," and let’s get together for yet another fun Monday evening as we gather to watch “The New Adventures of Charlie Chan.”

Happy Birthday James Hong…Number One Son!

(PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to receive weekly email announcements regarding our Monday Evening Chats, as well as receive high-quality scanned movie still images (one per week) from our films of the week, please email us at: charliechanfamily@yahoo.com)

Re: Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "The New Adventures of Charlie Chan"

Dear Mr. James Hong,

It was such a pleasure to work with you last August at our Charlie Chan Birthday Weekend in Honolulu. You brought so much joy and laughter to our Chan Birthday celebration to Earl Derr Biggers at the Louis Pohl Art Gallery. It was truly a unique experience for all that were present.

With warm appreciation and great respect, I wish you a very joyful Happy Birthday.

Aloha,

Steve Fredrick
