There is not much known about E.L. Park who played Charlie Chan very briefly in the film "Behind That Curtain" (1929). Here is what Internet Movie Database (IMDb) has to say: "Not much is known about the first person to play Charlie Chan in a Fox production. Indeed, it is not even known if he was a professional actor. What is known is that he was the last person of Asian extraction to play the part." When one sees his performance in this picture, it is apparent that Mr. Park probably had, as hinted above, little or no training in acting.
