On this Saturday (Apr 9), ThisTV (at least in my area (Orlando, FL) will be showing Charlie Chan at Monte Carlo at 1 pm eastern, followed by Charlie Chan in Egypt at 2:30 eastern. I do not know if ThisTV is programmed nationally or locally but you may want to check your local listing, as they say...

Thank you so much for the heads-up on these latest ThisTV showings. TWO Chan films this time - WONDERFUL! Yes, ThisTV is a national cable network, and perhaps we should consider dropping them an email or two thanking them for showing Charlie Chan - a breath of fresh air and a welcomed change from the recent status quo!

Could somebody record the April 9th broadcast of the two Chan films? We do not have ThisTV in Hawaii.

As a film historian, I am very curious to see what is cut out from the broadcast of these films. I suspect that "Eypt" will be cut pretty good.

After recording the films, please send the DVD (or VHS) to me in Hawaii. After viewing recording, I will return your disc (or tape) to you.

I have sent ThisTV an e-mail thanking them for showing Charlie Chan. I guess there is a use for 500 channels on cable after all :)
