As our tour through the Charlie Chan series moves into October, please join us for a special edition of our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing as we watch and discuss “Charlie Chan’s Secret,” starring Warner Oland, as we celebrate Oland’s birthday! In this adventure, Charlie Chan travels to San Francisco to find out why Allen Colby’s body was the only one not recovered from the wreck of a sunken passenger liner near Honolulu. The question now is: Is Colby still among the living? What follows is an apparent mixture of the supernatural and a very real killer who stalks Colby House!

Our Chat Room is located HERE at our Charlie Chan Family Home. Please use any of the “Chat Room” links to join us. We begin with arrivals and greetings at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and we roll our personal copies of our film exactly 30 minutes later.

If you do not yet have the Mr. Wong series on DVD or VHS, please consider purchasing one soon, as we will, on occasion, be viewing a film from this fine series, starring Boris Karloff! (Our own Hawaii Steve has informed us that the Wong series is now in the public domain, and thus, all episodes may be available for viewing on the internet!) ALSO, we will, by November, be watching, several times throughout the year, episodes of "The New Adventures of Charlie Chan" TV drama from 1958, which starred J. Carrol Naish and James Hong!
