Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "The Chinese Ring"
As we continue our tour through the Charlie Chan series, please join us for our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing as we watch and discuss “The Chinese Ring,” starring Roland Winters in his first outing as Charlie Chan, having inherited the role from Sidney Toler who had passed away. “The Chinese Ring” is based heavily on the plot of “Mr. Wong in Chinatown,” which we viewed last week. As we watch the Chan version, we can note the similarities as well as the differences, and, perhaps decide which is the better version!. Even if you cannot access a copy of the above-noted film, please do join us anyway, as you will NOT be left out of our ongoing chat and festivities. (Many of our films may be found available for viewing online through such outlets as You Tube, etc.) Also, as is our custom, newcomers are offered the seat of honor at our humble table.
