Tonight's Monday Chat/Film Viewing: "The New Adventures of Charlie Chan"

As our journey through the entire Charlie Chan film series moves along through various foreign locales, we now reach a “bonus stop” along the way. Tonight, we honor James Hong on the occasion of his 83rd birthday with the viewing of two episodes from “The New Adventures of Charlie Chan,” the 1957 television crime drama in which he played Chan’s Number One Son...Barry! The adventures will be “The Hand Of Hera Dass,” in which Charlie Chan and Barry travel to Egypt, becoming involved in a very unusual murder case, and “Blind Man’s Bluff,” featuring the first appearance of James Hong as Number One Son, Barry. (Both of these episodes can be found available for online viewing at YouTube.)

Please join us in our Chat Room which is located HERE at our Charlie Chan Family Home. Please use any of the “Chat Room” links to join us. We begin with arrivals and greetings at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and we roll our personal copies of our film exactly 30 minutes later.

Even if you cannot access a copy of the above-noted adventures, please do join us anyway, as you will NOT be left out of our ongoing chat and festivities. (Many of our films, such as tonight’s entries, may be found available for viewing online through such outlets as YouTube, etc.) Also, as is our custom, newcomers are offered the seat of honor at our humble table.

Thank you so much, and let’s meet for yet another fun Monday evening as we gather to watch “The Hand of Hera Dass” and “Blind Man’s Bluff.”

(PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to receive weekly email announcements regarding our Monday Evening Chats, as well as receive high-quality scanned movie still images (one per week) from our films of the week, please email us at: charliechanfamily@yahoo.com.)

Sincerely,
Rush Glick
