Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "Charlie Chan in Reno"
Continuing our tour through the entire Charlie Chan film series, we now reach “Charlie Chan in Reno,” starring Sidney Toler in his second outing as Charlie Chan. This adventure starts where last week’s entry left off: in Chan’s own Honolulu. In fact, as we first see Mr. Chan, he is in the midst of a very important “experiment” in the police lab, a project involving the grandson who was born in “Charlie Chan in Honolulu.” Soon, Chan is off to the mainland to help an old friend prove her innocence when all evidence points to her being a murderer!
