Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "Charlie Chan at Treasure Island"
The next stop on our tour through the entire Charlie Chan film series is “Charlie Chan at Treasure Island,” starring Sidney Toler in what many Chan fans consider the best entry in the entire film series. This one has a bit of everything: a mysterious figure in the person of Dr. Zodiac, the supernatural, magic, spooky situations, atmosphere, an unusual setting (the 1939 West Coast World’s Fair), and, a great mystery! Our feature for our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing involves Charlie Chan and son, Jimmy, in one of the most unusual cases of murder in the detective’s long and storied carrer!
