Moto reference in Olympics

hi.

David Rothel in "The Case Files of the Oriental Sleuths" says "Mr. Cartwright [...] is looking at a magazine. As he turns the page, we see momentarily that the story in the magazine [...] is Think Fast, Mr. Moto" (p 41). I've never heard of that before.

I put the fox dvd in the player, zoomed into that frame but can't read anything. Are there better (!?) sources available somewhere?

Re: Moto reference in Olympics

Dear Atan,

I cannot say that I have been able to verify the reference to Mr. Moto that you mention. However, there is a tribute to Warner Oland in the Moto film, "Mr. Moto's Last Warning." For a brief moment, one can see a theater billing "Charlie Chan in Honolulu" starring Warner Oland. Oland, who had just passed away while visiting his native land of Sweden, was to have starred in that film upon his return to Hollywood.

Sincerely,
Rush Glick

Re: Moto reference in Olympics

Yeah, that reference is great :-)

What about the silver screen? Maybe its possible to spot Moto there?
Would be great to see Charlie (and Jr) that way ;-)
