GLORIFYING THE AMERICAN GIRL is a feature film based on the very last Ziegfeld Folly. It was produced when Florenz Ziegfeld lost his fortune in the Depression and had to stop his show and sell the film rights to Paramount. The movie is itself about a small-time girl who becomes the star of the Ziegfeld Follies, and most of the last half is occupied by the show itself. There were Technicolour segments, but all of them were cut from the print I watched - it is the one commonly shown on television and can be found at the Internet Archive.
