Re: Honolulu Chan Visit

Dear Len,

Thank you for your kind remarks. It was my pleasure taking you and your wife for walk along Waikiki Beach. Visiting the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, and seeing the sites where Oland and Lugosi stood, is quite the thrill. Even with the renovations to the hotel, one can still see the film sites from "The Black Camel" (1931). It's only 82 years ago that the film was shot in Waikiki.

Glad you had a chance to visit the Manoa Chinese Cemetery and "talk story" with the late, great detective Chang Apana. After 80 + years, it it nice to know that people still care about Apana and Chan.

Warmest wishes to you, Lindsay, Jack, and Laurel.

Aloha,

Hawaii_Steve
