New Chang Apana Comic Strip - "Chinatown Cop"

I don't know if everyone is aware, but thought I'd mention there is a new comic being published in Honolulu's weekly MIDWEEK Magazine, titled, Chinatown Cop: http://www.midweek.com/ It's a characterization of Chang Apana and his offspring. The storyline is that Chang Apana's great grandson is an HNL cop and now stationed in Chinatown. He has Apana's diary which guides him through difficult situations. Retired police officer Eddie Croom (previously of the HNL Police Museum & along with Rush "stars" in some of the special features on the Chan films) is helping to write the weekly episodes. Here's the site: http://chinatowncop.com/

Only two strips have been publish to date. I think this a wonderful tribute to the real life detective and HNL Folk Hero, Chang Apana! Thought I'd share! Aloha Lou

Re: New Chang Apana Comic Strip - "Chinatown Cop"

Dear Lou,

Thank you for this information! I took a look and this strip looks to be headed in a good direction. With Officer Croom involved, I would imagine that there will be a solid connection with history.

Again, for those who would like to talke a look, here is the address: http://chinatowncop.com/

Thank you, again, Lou...

Please enjoy, everyone!
