Our Monday Evening's Featured Film: "Charlie Chan in Panama"

“Man without relatives is man without troubles.” (Charlie Chan – “Charlie Chan in Panama”)

Our film for this week is “Charlie Chan in Panama” as our trip through the Charlie Chan film series takes us to the Panama Canal Zone – a place of intrigue and espionage, and…murder! Will Charlie Chan and Number Two Son, Jimmy survive the process of uncovering the identity of the killer who will stop at nothing to achieve the ultimate goal of halting the U.S. Pacific Fleet’s passage through the Canal?

Please join us in our Chat Room which is located at our Charlie Chan Family Home: www.charliechan.info, and use any of the “Chat Room” links to join us. We begin with arrivals and greetings at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and we roll our personal copies of our film exactly 15 minutes later (8:15).

FILM NOTES: “Charlie Chan in Panama” provides a glimpse at the stresses experienced by the United States in the stages that led to the eventual entry of our nation into World War II. At this point, the United States was “neutral” in the war which had already begun in both Europe and in the Far East. We note the hints throughout the movie as to the identities of the hostile nations, although no definite references are provided.

EVEN IF you cannot access a copy of the above-noted film, please do join us anyway, as you will NOT be left out of our ongoing chat and festivities. Also, as is our custom, new comers are offered the seat of honor at our humble table. Many of our films, such as this week’s entry, may be found available for viewing online through such outlets as YouTube, etc.

HAPPY NEWS…this week’s film, “Charlie Chan in City in panama,” IS available at YouTube at this address: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIRl7SmHHKc

NEXT WEEK (June 8) we will be sharing “Charlie Chan’s Murder Cruise.”

Please have a happy and safe Monday, and let’s all get together for another Chan-filled evening of fun and sharing as we watch “Charlie Chan in Panama.”

Sincerely,
Rush Glick
