TONIGHT! "Charlie Chan at the Wax Museum," as we journey through the Charlie Chan series!

“Only very foolish mouse make nest in cat’s ear." (“Charlie Chan at the Wax Museum”)

Tonight, as we continue through the Charlie Chan film series, we pay a visit to that most unusual of museums, Dr. Cream’s Museum of Crime! As we shall find, this is a VERY intriguing museum which contains artifacts and wax figures relating to some of the most notorious killers. Also, it provides a VERY eventful backdrop for Charlie Chan and Number Two Son, Jimmy as they find themselves on a dangerous search for the murderer whose crimes take place within the walls of that notorious wax museum.

Please join us in our Chat Room which is located at our Charlie Chan Family Home: www.charliechan.info, and use any of the “Chat Room” links to join us. We begin with arrivals and greetings at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and we roll our personal copies of our film exactly 15 minutes later (8:15).

FILM NOTES: According to David Robert Cellitti, the wax figure of Charlie Chan (and, perhaps we may assume that the rest of the wax figures used in the film) was made by a studio in Los Angeles called The Stubergh's, which was run by Katherine Stubergh. "The late Katherine Stubergh was my mentor. She supplied wax figures for such films as ‘House of Wax,’ ‘Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein,’ ‘The Frozen Ghost’ and many other films...including ‘Charlie Chan at the Wax Museum’."

EVEN IF you cannot access a copy of the above-noted film, please do join us anyway, as you will NOT be left out of our ongoing chat and festivities. Also, as is our custom, new comers are offered the seat of honor at our humble table. Many of our films, such as this week’s entry, may be found available for viewing online through such outlets as YouTube, etc.

HAPPY NEWS…this week’s film, “Charlie Chan at the Wax Museum,” IS available at YouTube at this address: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ztg5wAf0Wo

NEXT WEEK (June 29) we will be sharing “Murder Over New York.”

Have a happy and safe Monday, and let’s all get together TONIGHT for another Chan-filled evening of fun and sharing as we view “Charlie Chan at the Wax Museum,” shall we?

Sincerely,
Rush Glick
