Ask Piper Beta

Hello all,
I have been very stressed out and going through some things lately and have not really had the energy to work on too much allthough I have painted some images over on flashpaint's site (you can check out some of my down time things on their site in their gallery and their best of gallery www.flashpaint.com) and in yahoo doodle, lol(I will post those some other time. I like to chalenge myself sometimes by painting with basic paint tools, lol, too see what I can come up with. Anyways enough about that, this is my beta (test)version of my new section for my forum called ask Piper. I do not know everything, but I know a lot and like to help people, and when I have time I will try and help you if I can and do not become too overwhelmed. Ok so here is how it works, sample below.:

Answer:
Yes, quite often and I realise that things do happen for a reason, and I could learn something from it, I do my best to bear it and remember that this too shall pass.

OK, so there you have it. Ask away. It's a way to get advice without being looked at with strange eyes and face making from those who actually know you, this way you can remain annonymous and get my perspective, not necessarily a cure.

A concerned Guy with Friend Troubles

Concerned friend

I am seeking advice here. I have a friend who I lost contact with and miss her very dearly. I know she has gone through somethings in life but I am also wondering if she will ever talk to me again. I am not sure how to progress here. What do you suggest?

Answer: Dear concerned male, Well there is a cliche that good things come to those who wait, and this is true, and sometimes it is false,(and if you are a programmer it is either 0 or 1, lol) All I can say is it really depends on what situation it is and whether or not your friend is not in contact with you out of unselfish reasons. Like maybe they are with someone in their life right now who they are affraid of losing, someone who may feel threatened by you for example, like their mate. Have you ever been involved with someone in a relationship where they wanted you all to theirself and did not want anyone else to have you? Whether or not you have or have'nt you should know that when this situation occurs it all depends on the level of threat the one mate feels. If the mate feels extremely threatened and the person they are with continues to contact the person they are threatened by, this can cause major issues in the relationship, and it is very hard to be with someone when they are not happy with you, especially if you love them. While I know you may miss your friend and it is difficult, the best thing you can do is hope and wait, not to haste and get the idea that they simply do not care at all, but are just trying to keep the peace with their mate. People's spirits are connected and in ways you never lost any contact at all even though you do not physically speak. I'm sure that your friend still cares and wishes you well, like I said, it could just be their situation and maybe they are having difficulties themselves. Also, if you believe in God, you can ask God about it, ask him to bring you peace in the situation, to lift you free of your worries, and to mend your heart †. I guess it too all depends on what exactly you feel for this person, is it just friendship feelings or is it more? My Friend and I have the Hots for the same man and she told me she only likes him because of his accent.

I love his smile, his attitude towards life AND that lovely accent.

How can I tell her to 'Back Off' without breaking up a Friendship?

Anytime you are dealing with a situation that deals with a friend and something you think could potentially hurt one of you, you should seriously have an honest sit down with them and air everything you are feeling with them out, let them know exactly how you feel and try to access the entire situation together to see if you can come to some sort of common ground. This issue can be very frustrating I know, but if your friend truely cares about you they will be willing to talk about this with you, and as long as they do not have any actual love feelings for this other person then that is something you should work on identifying together, and see if it is truely worth throwing your friendship out of the balance, either way it is going to be a sticky situation because sometimes when you have 2 friends liking the same person it becomes more than that, it can turn into a deep subconcious issue, a competition of who the person will pick, who is better, which one gets the A and who gets the B, while this does seem very stupid, it is a fact, even though you and your friend may be very close and love one another and would not conciously do this, it does happen, it's only human nature, the best thing to do is identify this right away and agree to not do that to each other. Everything will work itself out in the long haul, and if they are truely your friend then they will still be there when it is all over, no matter who gets the person you both want, or even if neither of you do.

I have this Friend who found love and I'm not sure she still have time for my e-mails.

Do you think she changed her address and never told me or computer clitch or just she's so much in love she forgot me?
