We thought that this hotly-debated topic would benefit from a place on the web - a place to hear all sides of this important and quickly-expanding aspect of food provision.
Hello,
I am starting up an NPO that will focus on sustainable inland coral farming at UCONN Avery Point. The corals i grow will be "organic" as in i will use no chemicals and plan to eventually use no electricity from the grid or municipal water. I will use wind driven pumps, purified rain water, geothermal heating and cooling, a greenhouse for light and solar panels for electrical use. Is there anything like this happening anywhere else? I plan on making my data and technologies available for other aquaculture projects. Please let me know if you are interested.
thanx
