Re: Week Zero: Marshall Vs. Kilgore

Flame on dude!!!

Kilgore needed double overtime and a blocked kick to beat the weakest Marshall team we've had in ten years. Back to reality in 2012!!!!

Re: Week Zero: Marshall Vs. Kilgore

Can't think of a better team to open the season against.

First off it's a big rivalry. Maybe the best one we have had in the last ten years. The games are almost always close and we actually have a chance to win. I always hated opening the season against Longview. When we played them for district, they were both more competitive after we had played a few games. I can't wait for the season to get started.

Re: Week Zero: Marshall Vs. Kilgore

You people are crazy if you think Marshall has a chance to beat Kilgore. The Bulldogs are going to be stacked this year and they went four rounds deep last season.

Marshall went 2-8. Let that sink in. 2 and 8.

2 wins.
8 losses.

Got that?

They will be lucky to be 3-7 in 2012.

Re: Week Zero: Marshall Vs. Kilgore

And by how much will Hallsville lose to Kilgore?

I expect this game to be a great game as it always is. A good way to start the season.

Re: Week Zero: Marshall Vs. Kilgore

Kilgore returns numbers, strength, a veteran staff and a ton of confidence. Marshall has none of the above.

Bulldogs by 14 or more

Re: Week Zero: Marshall Vs. Kilgore

We MUST establish a running game early to have any chance. Because of the lack of varisty experience at QB we need a couple of games to build confidence in whoever the starter will be. The O-line has gotta open some holes and RB John Love has to have a huge game.

Marshall!!!!

Re: Week Zero: Marshall Vs. Kilgore

WE ARE OUT TO PROVE SOMETHING THIS SEASON!!

NO ONE WILL REMEMBER 2011 AFTER WHAT WE DO IN 2012!

MUCHO RESPECT FOR KILGORE. BUT THIS IS MARSHALL'S TURN.

Re: Week Zero: Marshall Vs. Kilgore

Well less than a week away and after 2 scrimmages I still feel the same. Kilgore will have a good team as always. John Love has been one of the few bright spots during the scrimmages. He will need to have 20-30 carries and if Marik Reyes or Chris Williams can make some plays on those quick bubble screen passes we may can put up enough points to give the defense a chance. We have to start making tackles up the middle or it could get ugly fast. Look out for Jacque Kuykendall to make some key plays in the return game.

Re: Week Zero: Marshall Vs. Kilgore

From the first two weeks, Marshall won't be able to stay on the field with the Dogs. Marshall doesn't have anything going on that will be a threat to anybody on the schedule.....anybody that carries the ball 25-30 times a game will b broken up. The o-line is terrible. We'll see tons of blitzes!!
