How Does Share Price Adjust After a Bonus Issue?

After a bonus issue, the share price usually adjusts to maintain the total market value. For example, if a company issues a 1:1 bonus and the stock was trading at 800, it may adjust to around 400 after the issue. This does not mean a loss. You simply hold twice the number of shares. The real value movement depends on future performance and market sentiment.
