NWXCSL Race 5 - Runcorn Town Park - provisional results
Another brilliant day for the team with a fantastic 1-2 in the men's race. Stephen Watkin clocked his first Sunday League win with Martin Swensson in 2nd place. Making up the rest of the counters Lawrence Eccles, Tom Evans, Neil Bullock and Sam Evans totted up an impressive score of just 82 points for a greatly deserved 1st place.
The women were close on the men's heels with a great 2nd place on the day, which should see them still in joint first place overall with LRC Hazel McCormick scored a brilliant 4th place closely followed by Kate Macfarlane and Lauren Wilson.
Whilst the men's trophy is now assured, the women's hangs in the balance with the last race at Birchwood. A nail biting finish for PLS as we are THIS close to a historic first double! All hands to the pump for the last race at Birchwood on Sun 19 February!!!
