Guest runners invited for the Merseyside leg of the Northern Police Cross Country series.

Altcar Army camp, a short distance from Hightown Train Station and there is plenty of parking on site.

The post code is L38 7JE, entry is via Grange Road where gate house staff will let you in.
Aim to get there for 12:30 if you can, there is a pre brief by the camp staff.

The terrain is a mixture of woodland and sand-dunes with the course taking in some of the beach. Estimated to be about 8k.

The army are putting on some 'food' afterwards.

Striders helped arrange last year's Merseyside event at Clarkes Gardens, this was won by Steve Watkin.

Hi Mal. I'm interested in doing this. The course sounds like part of the old classic Waterloo 15k race (for those old enough to remember)
