Thank you to everyone who has updated their membership.
Today we will complete a data purge of webcollect of members who have not renewed their membership. This is being undertaken to keep us compliant with the new General Data Protection Regulations that become effective on the 27th May. We need to do this as we are not allowed to hold data without your permission. We also need to have your approval for passing information on to UKA as we effectively act as an intermediary in registering you. We will also removing some duplicate login details keeping the most recently used. So you may get emails notifying you that GoCardless direct debits have been cancelled. We will also update the membership of the closed Facebook group.
Please note that the fact that you set up a direct debit with GoCardless does not mean your membership is automatically renewed. You still need to go to the webcollect page on the website, login and then update your membership. The charge will then be taken via your GoCardless direct debit.
If you have not renewed then you can still do so but will have to re-enter your details into webcollect. So don’t panic!
Your status with UKA, including details held by them, will not be affected by this change.
