If anybody is interested in taking part in the Conti Thunder Run next weekend (Sat 21st / Sun 22nd) there is a spare place available on a mixed team of five.
For those not familiar with the event, it is a 24hr trail relay taking in a 10km(ish) course in Catton Park, Derbyshire. Each year a large contingent of Penny Laners take part and this year - the 10th anniversary of the event - is no different with (I think) 5 teams comprising 20-25 runners from the club travelling down.
The minimum requirement is that each runner from each team runs at least one lap. As this is as much of a social event as anything else, there's no expectation around pace, distance etc. It's a brilliant event - check previous years' Striding Reports for write-ups, pics etc.
