It was a sunny day. I took the precaution of putting suncream on. Not long after halfway up the hill I was feeling the pace, so decided to take a shortcut. After my shortcut I found I'd fallen quite a bit further back, 4 places to be precise. I did manage to catch three of the runners up, but sadly a runner from even further behind caught me in the process. Worse still; one of the three came back and convincingly to beat me to the finish line at the bottom of the hill. Hopefully I'll be fitter for next time.
