Surprisingly the men won the team prize (not that there's any prize yet as the prize is based on the best 5 scores from the 6 races) after I'd assured everyone that Mersey-Tri won and we'd be lucky to be second. I overlooked that Mersey-Tri lacked the over 40 runners; each team of 6 needs at least one over 40 (over 35 for the women, and they only need 3 for a team). Back on course and it was muddy, although not too heavy going. The sun was out and it was a nice day for running around a park, twice.

Clwydian Hills Fell Race

The sun came out to make the Clwydian Hills look nice. Lots of free race photos are available online in a similar vein to cross country. There was also post race soup and hot bread along with cake and tea. The race was nearly won by the legendary Manx runner Lloyd Taggart, but a young lad from the Loughborough uni team took the honors and set a new course record. I was left with 4th place, but I did get the series trophy which is a bit of a mantle shelf breaker. Loughborough also took the team prize and first U23 for both men and women. All of team PLS did finish and nobody got lost as far as I am aware. The race does allow for different routes to be used between the CPs. It's still not clear what the quickest is!

Also part of the ORC, so 50 points for me and Lenka.
