First time at this event which is based in an old Colliery and in normal years covers 4 events on variations of the same course over the year. Yesterday was the Autumn course and was generally flat to undulating on trail, gravel track and grass. Challenging but nothing extreme and brilliantly marshalled with lots of support all around the route. Best value of any race in a long time with £15 entry covering a decent Tech T-shirt, pair of socks, medal and goody bag! Highly recommend and a nice change of scene from the road races.

This was more a Halloween fun run with about 300 or so in fancy dress of every variety. Chip timed by Kirkby Milers and managed to secure a top ten finish having out run the super mario brothers, a pair of bananas and an inflatable dinosaur - all for a good cause.
