Hiya

Has anyone done this half marathon before? What is it like?

Apparently it's one of the toughest half marathons but we were wondering how it compared to the Betws-y-coed half?

Not too worried about the uphills it's more about how the downhills are as my knee is still sore after the death slopes in Snowdonia.

Any comments would help.

It's in the Peak District so it's not going to be flat. The more worrying thing about Eyam is that it is the place where the Plague is reputed to have started so make sure your innoculations are up-to-date!

Ha, yes. Unfortunately we are not innoculated but I guess we should look at the positives - at least we'd have a souvenir from the race unlike some we have done this year!
