To any of our members who have a budding interest in trying a triathlon but have not quite yet got their way around the swim&bike, British Triathlon will have “Triathlon Live” events to coincide the Olympic Triathlons. The nearest event will be in Manchester, Exchange Square, August 4-7 (women’s race 4th, men’s 7th August). The following from British Triathlon (more info/locations on www.britishtriathlon.org/London-2012):

"Participants will be able to challenge themselves in a cutting edge Endless Pool® and test their abilities against a simulated current that is suitable for swimmers of all abilities. Next they’ll bike and run on our state-of-the-art equipment and be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.*"

This is suitable for all abilities.
There will also be a big screen to follow the Olympic Triathlon events.
