The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner by Alan Stilitoe has been adapted for a stage performance by the York Theatre Royal Company, and they are coming to the Everyman later this year. Synopsis below:
"A long distance race. Real time.
Follow one runner, alone with his thoughts.
Colin is defiant. He is a young rebel. Moving
from one detention centre to another and
never really feeling like he can fit in. The only
time he really feels good is when he runs.
And he is good at it."
Tuesday 30th October to Saturday 3rd november.
Tickets range from £12 - £21, available from Box Office 0151 709 4776.
sounds good - the only problem is that the Everyman is undergoing major works and is not due to re-open until late 2013!

Re: The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
Thanks Tim. I was just going to mention it. I drove pass the Everyman only just last week and is a competed building site. Maybe we're suppose to meet outside the Everyman and he will talked us through a run instead!

Re: The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
Ok! Let me try again, it's in the playhouse, not the Everyman!
