MTCT 2014/15 Race 3 - Thurstaston MT challenge, 13/05/14

Tuesday 13th May 2014 at 7.15pm

Approx 6 miles on road, path, track and beach terrain.

From adjacent to the Visitors’ Centre, Wirral Country Park,Thurstaston, Wirral, TH61 0HN

Entry Fees: Club members £4; non-Club members £6
Entries on day £1 extra
Closing date: Friday 9th May 2014
Min age: 17 on day of race

It came to my attention last night that some of you might not be familiar with driving to Thurstaston.
Therefore I have attached instruction below:

Driving Directions

Post here if you wish to car share.
Also traffic can be frustrating mid week, allow plenty of time for travelling.

Just to remind everyone the race is this Tuesday coming up. Speaking to some experienced terrain Striders on Friday, normal road shoes should be ok if anyone was panicking about not having terrain shoes!

Should be a lot more fun than some 5k race I hear is happening on the same night....Mystery what!?

I'd like to share - can drive but if poss would like a lift will contribute to fuel/toll etc.

Very tight that guys!
Just be careful, rush hour can be crazy sometimes, from experience I can tell you that to get to Thurstaston could take up to an hour!
I'd leave more @1730 if I was you....

Cristina, we'll just stick to our times and risk it I'm sure we'll be alright. As long as we're there for registration I'm not too bothered about a warm up. Up to you though what you want to do

Ok in that case I will come to Garston. I can't get home much before 1730 so didn't want to hold anyone up but I can definitely get to the sports centre by 1745 so I will be there when you arrive. Thanks Neil, see you later.
