Races in the Netherlands

I wanted to make you aware of two races in the Netherlands. Easy to get to (both from Liverpool and within the NL) and very well-organised. And something a little bit different from the Amsterdam (half) marathon.

On 7 September we have the Tilburg Ten Miles in my hometown, with the option of running 5k, 10k and yes, 10 miles. This is the entry form for international runners: https://inschrijven.nl/formulier?id=2014090713903&ag=j&tl=en
This is your chance to experience the friendliness and 'gezelligheid' of the South of the Netherlands! Support along the course should be really good.

For those of you who prefer cold-weather racing over sunbathing in Benidorm I present to you the Zevenheuvelenloop in Nijmegen (16 November). The route (15km) will warm you up, leading you over a few hills and through - supposedly - the most beautiful part of the Netherlands (so yes, Dutch hills means gentle incline/decline). Apparently the fastest course in the world (but maybe that's because no one ever runs 15km... it means a PB in any case!) You can register as an international runner, but the website is in Dutch: http://www.zevenheuvelenloop.nl/
All supporters will stay at home to enjoy their hot chocolate. There will be a mad number of about 35000 runners, though!

Get in touch with me on Facebook or at a club night for more information and assistance with the language
