I loved Lassie I would never miss any Lassie shows, I am 57 yrs young I`d watch them in black n white n later in color n some movies n repeats but always remember the original I also knew I would be a animal lover n grew up doing just that. I have vountered at shelters and at veterinarians after hours n was able to watch n learn in operations on emergencies he would do pro bono for people,some were amputations to save a leg n allot of abused animal or rescues,and I helped start allot of rescues etc to try n save dogs n help get animals out of abusive situations n off of the streets thru fostering NOW I can only go online to post n cross [post to shelters to try help that way, n do allot of networking with allot of people to save dogs cats all sorts of creatures n they do the same n it works! allot of people working togeather for one cause to help animals.N to stop abuse,n sign petitions to get shelters to treat our animals better,So I hope Lassie would be proud of us humans today. I wonder if humans where this way back then? or have we gotten worse? I loved Lassie n still do. I feel What I do is a Tribute to Lassie I hope she would be proud.

I am 56 years old. When I was young it was hard for me to watch Lassie because it contained so much grief. Little did I realize at that time life, itself, holds much sorrow. I was delighted to view your page. What memories it brought back and yes, tears to my eyes.
I too love animals.
I moved to Amherstburg, a small hamlet in southern Ontario, 7 years ago. I had lived in Toronto a big metropolis! Sadly, though I knew toronto had a few feral cats, it seemed for the most part the problem was under control. However, here in Amherstburg, there were so many stray cats running around that now 7 years later I have 5 indoor cats one of which I just brought in from the freezing cold. I feed numerous other cats outside. As well, I have two dogs.
It is a busy life; between counselling from my home and looking after this brood I manage to have time to write. Hope you take a peek!
