Please join us for our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing as we watch and discuss “The Trap,” starring, in his final appearance as Charlie Chan, Sidney Toler. It’s Murder at Malibu Beach as Charlie chan, Number Two Son, Jimmy, and assistant Birmingham Brown team up to thwart a murderous scheme at a Malibu beach house. We can appreciate this picture, as a final tribute to Sidney Toler and his iconic portrayal of Charlie Chan. The onset of ill health and his subsequent passing six months later brought to a close another chapter in Chan annals. The torch would be passed on yet another time…
We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time with arrivals and greetings and a trip to Virginia’s virtual beverage cart. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very worthy film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.
