I have come across a blog entry about not only Charlie Chan movies, Warner Oland, "yellowface" and all but Chinese Charlie Chan movies as well. It's a fair amount of reading.
Well, it mentions (and links to) The Charlie Chan Family Home:
"For a comprehensive review of the Chan character through fiction, motion pictures, television, etc., the Wikipedia article is a good starting point, with some excellent links provided for those interested in further research. Fan site and forum The Charlie Chan Family Home is especially recommended."
Thank you so much, but, as you know, I am just pleased that we might be able to offer some information to counter the radical accusations of the misguided anti-Chan elements. Sadly, their word still carries the weight of most media today. However, together, we can humbly offer a happier, more accurate look at America's most famous detective.
