Carrol Naish as Charlie Chan and James Hong as Number One Son, Barry! The adventures that we will be sharing are “Patron of the Arts” (episode 16) and “The Chippendale Racket” (episode 29). If you do not have these available for viewing, you can find them both on the Internet! “Patron of the Arts” can be found at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAHp2yF-p10 and “The Chippendale Racket is available in two parts: Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpwmLo-QMq0
and Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAZTJGiI67A These are two fine crime dramas from the TV series that is often overlooked, but contains the final series of the adventures of Detective Charlie Chan before he entered permanent retirement. There will be a brief five-minute intermission between our two featured episodes.
Even if you cannot access a copy of the above-noted selections, please do join us anyway, as you will NOT be left out of our ongoing chat and festivities. Also, as is our custom, newcomers are offered the seat of honor at our humble table.
