Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "The Sky Dragon" (8PM, ET)
We now reach the final stop, the conclusion of our tour through the Charlie Chan series (There will be a “bonus” stop next week before we embark on our 2012 tour!). Please join us for our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing as we watch and discuss “The Sky Dragon,” starring Roland Winters. It’s murder in the skies as Charlie Chan, Number One Son, Lee, and ever-faithful assistant, Birmingham Brown seek the identity to the killer. The sole presence of Lee in this adventure foreshadowed, perhaps, what was to come as the series was to shift location to Europe. (Sadly, this never happened due to the devaluing of the English Pound, as Monogram had placed available funds for the project in a British bank, and were left with too little to proceed.)
Our Chat Room is located HERE at our Charlie Chan Family Home. Please use any of the “Chat Room” links to join us. We begin with arrivals and greetings at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and we roll our personal copies of our film exactly 30 minutes later.
Even if you cannot access a copy of the above-noted film, please do join us anyway, as you will NOT be left out of our ongoing chat and festivities. (Many of our films may be found available for viewing online through such outlets as You Tube, etc.) Also, as is our custom, newcomers are offered the seat of honor at our humble table.
