Several days ago I watched the movie DAUGHTER OF THE DRAGON, which came out in 1930. It features Warner Oland in his earlier role as Dr. Fu-Manchu, and Anna May Wong as his daughter, the dancer Lok Moy. As in many movies of this time period, Anna plays the role of the central villain, a role in which she was often cast after several other actresses who played these roles lost their careers to the coming of sound. It is strange, though, that Fu's more famous daughter, Suee San, does not appear in this movie. The movie is owned by Universal Studios, but due to legal issues has apparently never been seen on television.
