Never too early to plan. Last year there were three Puma's at this show. Nice to see the Purring Puma folks again, and pick up some parts. Orange County airport is closest, but there are very cheap flights into LAX from the east coast on Virgin America. From Chicago we found Southwest Airlines to have the best deal. We hope to make it a four day drip this year. Too much to do and shops to visit on the 3 1/2 day trip we have done in the past.Save up your travel miles and hotel reward points!

Hot VW's magazine in their FYI section, page # 34 this month said that this may be the last year for the VW Classic at their location in Irvine. Who knows if this will be the last year? Probably not, but if you have always wanted to go, this is the year! Best to come into southern California on the Wednesday or Thursday before to take in as many of the festivities as possible. Fly into Orange County airport if possible, as it's only 15 minutes from the show. LAX is OK if you are going to fly out on Monday. The Travelodge in Newport Beach is OK and reasonable. The host hotel (Holiday Inn Crown Plaza) is great, but costs $99.00 a night if you ask for the VW Classic rate.
