Rebuilding a 1978 Puma GTE; trying to keep as original as possible. How to best recondition the twin carbs?
Recon. sets seem to be basic and I would guess the the main issue will be air leakage into the butterfly spindle, yet there's no new bushes in the recon set?
Can anyone suggest how best to proceed?
What's the availability like for replacements?

Find your local aircooled VW shop, they can help you with that stuff, just tell them what part numbers are on your carbs, (carburettor (carburetor U.S.A.)(carb, Canada, its just easier)). Also search for carb rebuilders in your area that can do the machining and supply bushings, if required.
