Well, as those who were at last night's Chat/Film Viewing quickly became aware, there was a scheduling error on my part as we enjoyed an accidental "encore" showing of "Docks of New Orleans"! The evening was not a total loss, as we were able to carry on our usual banter, but a little more varied in scope! Also, as we will soon be celebrating Boris Karloff's birthday with a sharing of "Mr. Wong, Detective," the film that provided the basis for "Docks of New Orleans," our re-watching will give us more fodder for comparisons!
So, perhaps the dreaded number 13 (of November) was the cause...! However, as Charlie Chan has taught us: "Humility only defense against rightful blame."
