Local(ish) Multi-Terrain Races

Recently over hearing (seeing comments) about some Striders wanting to try out multi-terrain, I decided to have a look about for some upcoming events in the North West which may be of interest to those who are looking to start out and those who just like traversing the terrain (Simo!)

By the looks at the goodies at the end of these races you'll either be running for your dinner or starting your night out early!

Re: Local(ish) Multi-Terrain Races

Thanks ever so much Neil for posting all the attached links and information. As one of the people who would like to try out MT more regularly I really appreciate the effort you have made to encourage more striders to participate in off road races.

I know Keith Boyle has been a regular at the Cuerden Valley Badger 10k for some years, and he has finally convinced me to give it a go ...........gutted (no pun intended) I have missed out on Winkle trout !
but looking forward to doing to some of the others you mention.

Take care,

Walsh Two Lads Fell Race 12th June

I'm doing this race tomorrow, if anyone fancied giving it a go you're more than welcome to catch a lift up with me, I'll be leaving roughly about 5.45pm. Race isn't too far from the Rivington Pike (if you've been to that area before).

If Striders are doing it and making their own way, it's been advised that parking is limited.

Re: Local(ish) Multi-Terrain Races (November 14)

Another one not to miss:

Mortimer Forest Trail - 14/12/2014
http://www.ludlowrunners.org/mftr2014/

Entry Form:
http://www.ludlowrunners.org/wordpress/wp-content/themes/ludlow/downloads/MFTR2014.pdf

The course has changed a little this year making it an 8 mile race (from 10 that it was...still pretty good if you ask me!)

If you go and at the start of the race they tell you it's not muddy...

...Don't believe them!!!!
