Not the easiest of runs and more like a cross country run this morning, mainly across grass so was wet, muddy, hilly and slippy! Good fun though. Gadebridge is a fairly new parkrun and only been going a few months hence only 62 runners today. Marshals were great and it was nice to be a parkrun tourist!

Steep ascent for the first 5K with some stunning rocky (and wet) trails along the flanks of Helvellyn and down via the odd bog.

Ullswater 9K

Planned 14K route called off due to high winds and heavy rain. This one was shorter and sharper. Some climbing uphill through what seemed to be a ghyll. Possibly a trail in dry weather. Lovely views.

Carriere By Night 21/22km

The race was ran in the dark as indicated by the name of it. I'm not sure how long it was as it was advertised as 21 and 22km in the same room. I did go slightly wayward following the markers as they were difficult to see at times. They also seemed to have intentionally felled trees across the path and greased all the rocks to make it more challenging.
